Average AI cost per employee is the monthly attributed AI tool spend divided by the number of employees with AI spend or engineering output in that month.

Spend comes from tool billing and usage telemetry, normalized into dollars before aggregation. The result is a blended average across organizations of all sizes, from startups to large enterprises.
